“In silence we meet the parts of ourselves that most need love and hospitality. In silence we have the opportunity to give ourselves the compassion we so desperately seek.” - Melinda Thomas Sacred Balance: Aligning Body and Spirit Through Yoga and the Benedictine Way
Join us for a weekend of sacred silence as we tend to the parts of us that most need love and hospitality. And in this way, help germinate the seeds within us that are ready to emerge with all their beauty this spring.
This retreat is held at The Cabin, which is located 1.5hrs north of Grand Rapids. The retreat runs from 9am on Friday morning till 12pm on Sunday. You are welcome to arrive and depart when it is most convenient for you.
These retreats are self-directed - meaning you can use the time and space however best serves you. The Cabin sits on twenty acres of private land on a branch of the Pere Marquette river, and is connected to 80 acres of National Forest providing ample opportunity to be in nature. There is a wood fired hot tub and sauna to enjoy, a labyrinth to walk, a large sitting room to read and journal, art supplies, various books and poetry collections to explore, and journaling prompts to engage with.
All bed linens, towels, food and cleaning are included in the cost. Lunch and dinner are communal meals enjoyed together in silence. There are various housing options to choose from - individual tiny cabins, an individual king room in the main cabin, and shared bunk rooms. You can choose your housing option when you register for a retreat.
Upon registering, you will receive an email with a few more details on how to prepare, what to bring and directions to The Cabin.
