Erinn guides us to the depths in the most beautiful way. She channels the insightfulness of an elder, and the lightheartedness of a child. It’s like grappling with the mysteries of your inner universe one moment and playing with a daisy in the next.

These retreats have been like sinking into a warm hug. I feel so well cared for, in body and spirit. Erinn is so warm and thoughtful about all the details, truly embodying hospitality. From the nourishing food, to comfortable beds, cozy fires, a hot tub and sauna, and the beauty of the land and river - it's truly a gift to be able to get more present with myself, the divine, and what's happening around me.

I love the variety of opportunities to create and reflect, each time a little different: from books of poetry to read, watercolors and markers to capture new insights, to a prayer labyrinth in the field or the opportunity to put on waders and go for a walk in the river.

If you are new to silent retreats, this is a wonderful opportunity to start.  If needed, at your disposal are guided prompts, books to read and reflect upon, art supplies, acres of gorgeous nature, and an experienced guide available to help point you in the right direction.

Guiding Owl Silent Retreats are a gift. In a season of deep grief, job transition and the world just being loud…silence, nature and space is what I needed.

Everything is curated with so much thought, love and care. The land (I claimed a tree as mine :), the labyrinth, the meals, the river, the nightly medicine walks, the withness of others in silence are sacred.

This land has become a home away from home, one that holds me fiercely and a place where I have learned that grief is love.

Guiding Owl silent retreats offer an attunement to the wildlife and sounds of nature that abound from eagles, salmon, river otters, deer, birds and more.

My soul is awakened to the divine both within me and in each guided direction I explore. I experience a new understanding, awareness, and direction each time.

Erinn sets the stage with such an eloquent touch of invitations for creativity, exploration, and readings to meet you where you are on your journey. The space is filled with aesthetically pleasing touches of nature and made personal for each person. All this paired with food that nourishes my whole being deeply.

The overflowing gratitude from my heart center, after the respite and care you have provided feels like warm rays of sunshine, unfurling in the safety of hope, tasting love in friendship, and remembering the sacredness of slowing and being still. A deep, deep bow to the Great Mother within you.

“I have been on numerous silent retreats through Guiding Owl. I work in a profession where I am tuning into others and providing care, intervention and support to many broken places. I have sought out Guiding Owl silent retreats to spend quiet time alone - seeking God’s restoration in my own spirit and to listen for words of challenge, encouragement and God’s goodness to emerge as I allow space to quite myself and listen.

Erinn has generously provided an incredible healing space and is quite thoughtful and prayerful about nurturing an environment where people have space to listen and seek. These times have been healing, restorative, fun and delightful. I am very grateful for Erinn and the opportunities for personal restoration that can be sought in this setting when the world and all of its distractions are hushed. These times are invaluable. The God of surprise does not disappoint.
